Jack Gavin
Chairman
Jack Gavin brings to Careerminds over 30 years executive leadership in high-growth public and privately held human resource services companies. He has significant outplacement and career transition experience with a proven track record of growing successful human resources organizations. Mr. Gavin has a passion for HR technology and works closely with the Company's executive team on strategic initiatives and market development.
Prior to joining Careerminds, he was the CEO and Vice Chairman of Drake, Beam, Morin (DBM), an international career management and transitions management firm. Prior to joining DBM, Mr. Gavin spent eight years at Right Management Consultants where, as President and Chief Operating Officer, he guided the organization through revenue growth from $125 million to approximately $500 million. He subsequently orchestrated the sale of Right Management Consultants to Manpower in 2004. Mr. Gavin currently serves as an Operating Partner at LLR Partners, a leading Philadelphia private equity firm with over $1.4 billion under management. He is a graduate of Temple University.
Raymond Lee
Chief Executive Officer
Raymond Lee brings over 18 years human resource leadership, career consulting, and outplacement experience to Careerminds. He shares his zeal and passion for building successful people within Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike. Mr. Lee spent most of his career in the telecommunications, manufacturing, chemicals, and construction industries in a variety of human resource leadership roles. Most notably he was involved in planning and implementing large scale layoffs throughout Corning, a global manufacturer of optical fiber. There he helped develop, execute, and facilitate in-house outplacement centers for multiple facilities. Over the course of his career, he realized that success begins with the right mindset - a careful balance of confidence, reason, and the best tools and strategy to make your career aspirations come alive in and out of the workplace. He calls it the Careermind and so, Careerminds was born. He holds a M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University and a B.A. in Psychology.
Sabrina Basht
Chief Client Champion
Sabrina Basht is responsible for all client sales and business development at Careerminds.
With 20 years of experience in client management, business development and marketing, she cultivated and managed business relationships with Fortune 500 companies such as United Airlines, U.S. Airways, Virgin America, Travelocity, Priceline, L.L. Bean, and William Sonoma. She has spent her career in financial services including JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and most recently with Barclays Bank where she led the development of its US mobile payments strategy and was responsible for securing and managing relationships with AT&T, Verizon and T-mobile.
She joined Careerminds in 2011 with a passion for technology, innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Ms. Basht championed a yearlong human resources project at Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia), where she led a team responsible for revamping the company's performance management process. She possesses a strong combination of marketing skills, a customer-centric approach to business development, and a keen eye for helping companies provide relevant business solutions to their employees.
Ms. Basht holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from West Chester University and is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Executive Leadership Program.
Justin Schakelman
Chief Innovation Officer
Dr. Justin Schakelman is an entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in growing organizations. He has a significant brand development and e-learning background with a focus on helping companies establish an influential position in their respective markets. Prior to Careerminds, Dr. Schakelman served as VP of Sales and Marketing for a national retailer, where he was instrumental in launching stores in 18 states, brand development, and successfully completing an IPO. He has also held e-learning development and instructional systems design positions in higher education and health care. Dr. Schakelman has published several articles on the use of technology in education and has developed e-learning solutions for large-scale audiences. He has a passion for helping companies and individuals achieve their goals by unlocking their unique potential for success. He holds a doctorate from the University of Delaware and resides in Delaware.
